If an option is grayed out, it means that combination of formatting is not valid for that book type, size, or page count.Once these are set, the calculator will automatically display the print price per unit and other cost data.Note: In this section you can also click the buttons to download custom Lulu Interior and Cover templates tailored to the book format you specified. Step 3 — Calculate Shipping CostsLocate the Shipping Estimate or Shipping Calculator section after you have entered your product specifications.Enter Quantity of products you plan to ship.Select Destination Country — Choose the country you want to calculate shipping for.The calculator displays available shipping methods and their prices.Note: The pricing calculator shows multiple available shipping methods for a given area, including trackable and non-trackable options. Use this to match the shipping cost you plan to charge customers or include in your ecommerce settings. Please note that when orders transfer from an ecommerce store to Lulu Direct, they are automatically assigned the least expensive trackable shipping option for the destination address, regardless of the shipping method selected by the customer. As a result, the shipping method may need to be manually updated in Lulu Direct after the order transfers.Step 4 — Understand Cost & Revenue OutputsAfter entering specs and destination:Print Cost — the base cost to print each book.Shipping Estimate — estimated cost for delivery (based on country & quantity).Bulk Discounts — if ordering large quantities, the calculator will show reduced prices.Potential Revenue— if you enter your intended retail price, some calculators will estimate profit.Note: Potential revenue only applies to orders placed by customers through Lulu's online bookstore.
