Lulu Direct Pricing Calculations and Estimating Profits Print

Lulu Direct charges you for the print cost of each book when an order is placed. Because Lulu Direct uses print-on-demand production, you don't need to purchase or maintain inventory in advance.

When an order is placed for a Product connected to Lulu Direct, Lulu will charge you for the printing and shipping and handling costs, along with a fulfillment fee and applicable taxes. Once these costs are paid, the order will move to fulfillment and Lulu Direct will handle printing and shipping for you.

Estimating Profit

You can estimate your profit by subtracting the amount you pay Lulu from the retail price your customer pays.

To determine the retail price for your Lulu Direct products, calculate your production and shipping costs, add the fulfillment fee and applicable taxes, and then add the profit you want to make.
