With Lulu Direct you can accept preorders. When you are accepting preorders you do not want to connect your product to a Lulu project. Once you are ready to send us the preorders to fulfill, you will then connect the preorder product to a Lulu Project.

Once the product is connected, you will need to trigger the order by sending us an update on the order.

WARNING: If you use the Order Import Tool and later connect the product you used for the preorder to a Lulu Project and trigger an update to the order, like editing it or changing the order status, then it will trigger us to process the order, which will result in a duplicate order being created.

Shopify:

Go to the order in Shopify and click on the pencil next to the notes section. Add any note you want, this won’t be visible to the customer, then click Save.

This will trigger a new signal for us to fulfill the order.

WIX:

Go to the Order on WIX, click More Actions, and select Edit Order.

You do not need to make any changes to the order. Click Update Order. In the popup window uncheck “Email the customer about changes made to this order” and select Update Order.

WooCommerce:

Go to the Order in WooCommerce, update the order status to On-hold, then click Update.

Immediately update the order status to Processing and click Update again.

You also have the ability to bulk update order statuses in WooCommerce. This can be done by navigating to the Orders page on WooCommerce, selecting the orders you want to update, then using the Bulk Actions Dropdown menu. Select on-hold, then click Apply.

After you update the status of these orders to on-hold immediately update the order status to processing and click Apply.

NOTE: This will send an order update email to your customers notifying them the order is being processed.
